Animals dressed in designer labels turn on Paris lights

Report by Genelle Aldred

An elephant dressed in Louis Vuitton has turned on the Christmas lights at a shop in Paris.

The Christmas display at Galeries Lafayette department store included Penguins wearing sunglasses and a polar bear holding a designer handbag.

It was an unusal way to showcase the latest seasonal trends.

A crowd gathered outside the window and children admired the display calling it "pretty".

A giant Christmas tree was put up inside the store as a more traditional symbol of the season.
