Sixteen tiger cubs have been rescued after a truck driver tried to smuggle the animals through Thailand.
The man was intercepted by police when he avoided a checkpoint. He was arrested after the animals were found on his back seat.
It is thought the cubs were destined to be exported out of the country.
Police say driver Faren Kongfu could face four years in jail or a heavy fine.
The tigers are now being looked after by National Park and Wildlife officials in Khon Kaen.
