Britain's first Klingon wedding has been held at Destination Star Trek in London.
Two avid trekkies have gone where no one has gone before, at least in the UK, by holding the first nupitals in the country to feature the fictional sci-fi language.
23-year-old Jossie Sockertopp and 29-year-old Sonnie Gustavsson came from their native Sweden to marry at the convention.
Jossie told reporters: "We saw the clip from the series where the Klingons get married and we thought it was very romantic about the beating hearts and the battle for each other. We really liked it, that's why we want to do this."
The most stressful part of the wedding was probably for celebrant, Peter Wyllie, who had to learn Klingon for the event.
"We spent a bit of time with a couple of guys who were professional Klingons and they checked it through with me but after that it was just hope really," he said.
The couple's Star Trek marriage was unfortunately not binding - they in fact got married in their homeland shortly before the service.
