Experts are baffled by a giant eye which washed up on a beach in Florida.

The bright blue eyeball, significantly larger than a clenched fist, was found by Gino Cavacci at Pompano Beach in Florida, and caused a sensation online.

No one knows where, or what, the giant eye came from, but it's thought to be either a deep sea squid or a very large swordfish.

Officials have taken possession of the monster eye, which is currently being studied by experts.
