A pumpkin in Massachusetts has broken the short-ton barrier, making it the world's largest.
The enormous vegetable was grown by Ron Wallace of Greene, Rhode Island, and was weighed in at a fair in Massachusetts on Friday September 28.
At 2,009lbs (911kg), this is the first pumpkin to top a US ton (2,000lbs).
For his allotment-crushing effort, Wallace reportedly took home $5,500 for his first place finish plus a $10,000 bonus for breaking the one-ton mark.
