Steven Lobue won his first event in the Red Bull cliff diving series on Sunday with an impressive dive into the Blue Lagoon, Wales.

The eighth event in this year's series saw the divers plummet off a platform 27m in front of hundreds of spectators.

Gary Hunt of Great Britain came third; second was Orlando Duque of Colombia and Lobue clinched the win with a back dive.

Orlando Duque leads the series with 840 points, Gary Hunt is second with 770 and Steven Lobue is now third with 740.

The final round will be held in Oman on September 27.
