'Renoir' painting discovered in Virginia

Report by Simon Parker

It is believed that an original painting of Pierre-Auguste Renoir has been discovered in Virginia.

The painting was found at a flea market by a woman who paid just fifty dollars for it, but is now set to be auctioned off on September 29.

It is expected to be worth up to 100,000 US dollars.

Experts at the Potomack company believe it is "Paysage Bords DeSeine," one of Renoir's river scenes along the Seine river.

A Renoir plaque on the frame prompted the woman to have it analyzed and it is believed the painting was bought from a Paris gallery in 1926 and has now been rediscovered.
