At one month old, San Diego Zoo's baby panda cub has been given some medical attention. It has had a check-up to ensure that it is in proper health.
The cub was measured and weighed, and all indications are that it is growing normally.
San Diego Zoo veterinarian, PK Robbins, said: "So the baby is doing great. Obviously feeding, lots of full meals, has a full belly. Very content. Good ambulation. Good vitality. Looks terrific. Signature black and white, in full color."
The cub weighs more than a kilogram but there is no word yet on whether it is male or female.
The baby panda and its mother will remain off exhibit at the zoo, although both can be observed on a special camera set up inside their den.
