A Mexican dog who suffered horrific abuse at the hands of a drugs gang has been given a new lease of life, with new legs.
Lemon Pie was owned by a gang linked to the Zetas Cartel, who mutilated him so junior members could learn how to torture rival gangsters.
He was found dying in a rubbish bin with his front legs cut off, and was subsequently rescued by the canine miracles centre near Mexico City.
The charity raised more than $6,000 for a Californian company to make Lemon Pie a pair of state-of-the-art prosthetic limbs, using X-rays and measurements to make sure the legs were the perfect fit.
And Lemon, who doesn't seem to be phased by his ordeal, certainly seems to be getting used to them. The problem now is getting him to sit still.
