Free WiFi on the back of a donkey in Israel's Galilee

Report by Sophie Foster

At the Kfar Kedem park in southern Galilee, visitors can ride donkeys whilst surfing the web, thanks to routers round the animals' necks.

The idea of providing free internet access along with the rides was the brainchild of Kfar Kedem's manager, Menachem Goldberg.

"We put the router on the neck of the donkey and now you're part of the modern world," he said.

"Think about the teenager. He's taken some pictures, he wants to change his profile on Facebook in real time, now he can do it."

Peter Scherr, a tourist from New York, made the most of the technology as he enjoyed a trip with his family, saying: "I don't miss any news and I can send pictures back to my family while I'm having fun on the donkeys."
