A black bear has broken into a chocolate shop in Colorado's Rocky Mountains.

The smell of the treats was obviously too much for the creature to resist, as it opened the store's front door early one morning and helped itself.

The dawn raid was caught on video by the shop's surveillance camera.

The bear took several mouthfuls of sweets and then walked ouside to eat them.

The indulgence wasn't enough to satisfy the creature's appetite and it ventured back into the shop another six times, helping itself to an assortment of biscuits and sweets all the while.

The shop's owner said the bear was able to get in because the locks were faulty but she has since changed them, just in case.
