There are plenty of ways to get kicked out of a shopping mall. Raiding the mattress store would usually be one of them.

But for 1,001 record breakers in Shanghai, that was exactly the plan, as they smashed the world record for human mattress dominoes.

Their effort beat the former record, which was set at 850 by a group of Americans in February.

Far from simply building up and knocking down the domino run, the event required meticulous planning.

It took almost ten minutes from the first mattress hitting the floor for the last domino to tumble.
