One hundred and eight giant pandas, or actually people dressed in panda costumes, have descended upon Trafalger Square in London to mark Panda Awareness Week.
The stunt was part of a three month campaign to promote the plight of giant pandas and highlighted the work of the Chengdu Panda Base in China.
The 108 pandas represent the number of pandas currently living at the world-renowned breeding and research base.
The costumed pandas performed a tai-chi inspired dance before attending a ‘Panda Party’ in Covent Garden.
The pandas also joined TV conservationist Nigel Marven visiting primary schools across London to excite and educate children about the importance of saving the giant panda.
